Numa noite escura e fria da grande cidade, três pessoas se encontram num viaduto, a tempo de evitar uma tragédia.
São elas Carmem, sua amiga Norma, pertencentes à classe alta da sociedade, e um desconhecido que para lá se dirigira, apenas obedecendo a forte pressentimento de que algo de muito grave poderia estar acontecendo naquele local.
Eliana, filha de Carmem, disposta a pôr um fim à própria vida, acaba sendo demovida do malfadado intento num emocionante diálogo com o rapaz.
Apesar de não se conhecerem, bastou um olhar, um sorriso, uma palavra, para que uma delas e Maurício percebessem que não eram totalmente estranhos um ao outro e que indefinível sentimento eclodia repentinamente entre ambos.
Esse sentimento, a princípio incompreensível e com notável distância a ser superada, é a tônica desta comovente história espírita, intrigante, e por vezes divertida, a demonstrar que o amor pode vencer todas as barreiras.
A obra possui polos distintos e vai do 8 ao 80, digamos assim.
A parte jovem tem como protagonistas Eliana e Maurício. Ela está em crise após a morte acidental do seu noivo Laerte e depois de um gatilho, entra na loja onde Maurício trabalha em busca de um telefone para falar com a mãe Carmem. Sempre muito solicito, o rapaz a ajuda e a partir de então se cria um laço entre os dois.
Depois do trabalho e intuído pelos bons espíritos, Maurício continua pensando na moça, decide ir até o viaduto comentado por ela mais cedo e encontra a mesma, de fato, querendo cometer suicídio.
A parte mais adulta fica a cargo de Norma, uma mulher de 52 anos, com uma filha que mora nos Estados Unidos e viúva depois do marido ter perdido para o alcoolismo. Desde então sozinha, Norma é amiga e vizinha de Carmem e conhece Maurício quando o mesmo tenta salvar Eliana.
Os dois se identificam imediatamente e começam a se conhecer melhor, tendo ela que quebrar alguns pré-conceitos já tão arraigados. O mais simples de todos é andar de moto já que Maurício faz parte do grupo Assombro Moto Clube, onde os motociclistas também ajudam um Centro Espírita com doações de leite.
Além da questão da idade entre os dois e os mundos totalmente opostos em que vivem, o livro também aborda os amores platônicos e as inconsequências de saber para quem está se perdendo nas figuras de Leny e Cris. As duas jovens são apaixonadas pelo rapaz e fazem de tudo para saber quem é Norma.
A narrativa, em alguns momentos, também volta ao passado com algumas questões para entendermos os motivos e causas dos personagens atuais.
O texto é de fácil entendimento e a leitura é mega fluída. Em um dia você já está na metade da leitura, em dois já terminou. :O
Querendo ou não querendo, Wilson acabou pegando um nicho ainda bem pouco explorado: Mulheres com mais de 50 anos, viúvas e que não se acham no direito de se envolver novamente, ainda mais com alguém bem mais jovem.
Daí vem a pergunta: “Eu tenho 20 anos, Ju! Então não posso ler?” Pode sim, sem problemas. Mais você ficará com vergonha alheia das atitudes das pessoas mais novas abordadas no livro. Digo por mim. 😛
