E amanhã chega aos cinemas o documentário Chico Para Sempre, dirigido por Wagner de Assis. Para fazer o esquenta, resolvi pegar para ler o livro Chico Xavier: O Apóstolo da Fé do autor Carlos A. Baccelli e lançado pela Editora Leepp. Carlos é um dos participantes da cinematografia e esteve sempre presente em vários momentos na vida do médium mineiro quando encarnado.

Este livro despretensioso de nossa lavra, ora publicado pela Livraria Espírita Edições “Pedro e Paulo” – LEEPP, de Uberaba, Minas Gerais, pretende ser tão somente um registro, na seqüência dos demais sob a nossa responsabilidade literária, dos fatos e feitos de um dos mais fiéis discípulos do Cristo, cujo legado aos que o admiram e aos que vierem a admirá-lo é, sem duvida, o de seu irretocável exemplo – o maior best-seller dentre todas as obras de sua autoria na Terra!
Com isso, o livro é uma mistura de memórias com biografia e mensagens e tem como foco o lindo trabalho mediúnico desenvolvido por Chico e que estava fazendo 75 anos de serviço espiritual.
A obra possui, ao todo, 50 capítulos curtos, onde Baccelli vai discorrendo sobre os principais fatos envolvendo Chico, os momentos em que ele esteve presente o desenrolar de alguns acontecimentos importantes para o médium e, consequentemente, para o Espiritismo. Esse mix ficou bastante interessante porque, ao mesmo tempo, temos as percepções de quem acompanhou de perto e também de quem via de longe. Pois Carlos lembra de alguns fatos presentes assim como também discorre sobre como o médium mineiro, na visão dele, era mais respeitado, fora da Doutrina Espírita do que dentro.
Sendo assim, o livro inicia com a volta e o exemplo de Chico Xavier e depois passa para Chico, transcendendo a mediunidade, plenos de vida, Chico lembra Jesus, as bênçãos, Chico e o dinheiro do livro, lucidez, os 27 zeros de Chico Xavier, diálogos, o par de abotoaduras de ouro, uma mensagem para o Brasil, sua mediunidade impar, orando em Pedro Leopoldo, um fenômeno de bondade, Chico e a menina que não queria ser médium, 90 anos de Chico Xavier, mãos abençoadas, as cartas psicografadas, suas curas, notícias de Chico, o jovem médium, os espíritos obsessores e entre outros.
Durante a narrativa, Carlos deixa claro todo o esforço do médium em dar atenção ao maior número de pessoas possíveis, mesmo com sua saúde extremamente fragilizada e o quando o fio de mensageiro de cartas psicografadas se transformou em salvador da pátria de vidas para muitas pessoas e o quanto isso foi prejudical em muitos momentos.
Além das histórias, o autor também colocando fotos dos principais momentos de Chico como seu encontro com o mesmo, personalidades que por lá passaram e o Grupo Espírita da Prece. Além disso, poeisas e mensagens acalentadoras também são colocadas no livro, sendo o ponto de extrema suavidade.
O texto é de fácil entendimento e a leitura é fluída e reflexiva ao mesmo tempo. Se você tiver tempo e dependendo da sua intenção de leitura, é possível de ser lido em um único dia, muito em função dos seus curtos capítulos. É uma ótima obra de complemento tanto sobre mediunidade quanto da própria história do médium mineiro. E você termina o livro ainda mais fã de Chico e sua extrema caridade em todos os momentos. Realmente um ser megamente diferenciado.
