Hidratando a Alma: Filme “Império da Luz” – Sam Mendes

Partiu hidratar a alma nesse sabadão com o filme espiritualista de hoje: Império da Luz, lançado em 2022, com direção de Sam Mendes e está disponível na Star Plus.

Império da Luz é uma história de amor ambientada em um belo cinema antigo na costa sul da Inglaterra na década de 1980. Um filme sobre a conexão humana e a magia do cinema. Seguimos Hilary (Olivia Colman), uma gerente de cinema deprimida, que trabalha no cinema Império (Empire) enquanto no plano de fundo há a recessão britânica de 1981, causando desemprego e racismo gratuito ao longo do país. Apesar de tudo, ela tem um emprego simples, vender ingressos, checar os ingressos, limpar as salas e etc. Ao seu lado, outros empregados: um gerente mal-humorado e pomposo, Sr. Ellis (Colin Firth), o dedicado projecionista Norman (Toby Jones) e os assistentes Neil (Tom Brooke) e Janine (Hannah Onslow). Mas Hilary cada vez mais entra em um profundo estado de solidão e tristeza, mesmo em tratamento. Mas então o Império contrata um novo vendedor de ingressos, Stephen (Micheal Ward), um jovem negro que tem uma conexão instantânea com Hilary. Esta, é a história deles.
O mesmo se passa no sul da Inglaterra nos anos 80, possui Hilary como protagonista e tem como principal local um cinema.
Falando nele, o estabelecimento interliga todos os personagens e histórias tanto atuais quanto antigas e, um dia, já tinha sido grande e naquela época contava apenas com uma sala de cinema e com Hilary como gerente e também como a vendedora das guloseimas logo na entrada.
A moça já viu de tudo naquele lugar e, por natureza, é bastante introspectiva, deprimida e possui uma grande sensibilidade. Com e ao redor dela, os outros funcionários e visitantes vão sendo mostrados e cada um com sua peculiaridade.
Um dia, conhece o jovem negro Stephen e a indentificação é imediata. A ligação da dupla faz bem para ambos e, aos poucos, tanto um quanto o outro vai evoluindo em todos os aspectos. Inclusive, é com Stephen que as questões do racismo, tão mais fortemente explícitas naquela época, são mostradas.
A obra, de um modo geral, é um grande campo aberto e deixa a cargo dos telespectador as interpretações de todas as histórias e situações. Para alguns, vai ficar entendido que somente Hilary desencarnou, não tomou consciência da sua própria decisão e tenta seguir a vida normalmente. Para outros, todo mundo morreu e somente aos poucos vão tomando conhecimento das suas reais situações e, inclusive, estou neste grupo por algumas palavras faladas de forma bem tênue e suave durante o filme inteiro. E também tem o pessoal que vai entender que Hilary morreu e só estão mostrando tudo que aconteceu antes do seu desencarne e os motivos para tal fato.
Além disso, Império da Luz discorre igualmente sobre ninguém mudar o seu comportamento após a passagem e isso só acontecer igual na vida terrena. Ou seja: Por querer e por ligações com outros espíritos / indivíduos que lhe fazem bem e também as questões das sintonias e vibrações energéticas. Em um momento, Hilary cai tanto energeticamente falando que ninguém dos que já convivem, inclusive Stephen, consegue se afinizar com ela. Por fim, acaba sendo mostrado, de um modo bem discreto, como funciona a transição de etapas, seja entre colônias no mundo espiritual ou para reencarnar.
O filme não é aquele aprendizado com leveza, mas é extremamente reflexivo. Te faz parar para pensar real oficial e também querer que a obra tenha uma continuação para fechar tudinho que ficou aberto. Seria bastante interessante de verdade.
