Antes de falecer em 2013, o autor ainda teve tempo de reeditar algumas partes da obra e, infelizmente, não conseguiu finalizar fisicamente.

Este livro é o marco inicial da incrível obra do escritor Herminio de Correa Miranda, que faz aqui um encantador passeio pela história espiritual da Humanidade. Retratando a sadia curiosidade e a incansável busca do homem que não se contenta com simples teorias e dogmas de fé, Os procuradores de Deus consegue abordar numa linguagem simples, como numa conversa informal entre amigos, os temas que tanto afligem o coração, quando se quer respostas precisas para o conhecimento não somente sobre quem somos, mas também como e por que somos. É assim, pelas veredas da espiritualidade, que o autor nos toma carinhosamente as mãos e vai nos conduzindo pela razão e pela emoção aos caminhos que nos levam a Deus, inaugurando em nós a alegria da reflexão sobre a amplitude da vida. Quem já procurou Deus e não obteve respostas, aqui vai encontrá-lo. Quem já O encontrou, aqui vai ter a certeza de que não se enganou.
Os Procuradores de Deus caminha em três fases: O preparo da terra, a sementeira e a colheita.
A primeira parte aborda o surgimento de Deus / Jesus, como as questões espirituais eram vistas antigamente, o céu, purgatório e o inferno e o Cristianismo.
A segunda fase já começa a preparar terreno para o Espiritismo, principalmente, quando Arthur Conan Doyle (Autor de Sherlock Holmes) conhece, se interessa e começa a estudar as manifestações mediúnicas. Inclusive fez a obra A História do Espiritismo.
Além disso também é abordado a questão do hipnotismo, histórias das primeiras regressões de vidas passadas que comprovavam vidas anteriores e da telepatia, onde uma pessoa pensa em J e J entra em contato imediatamente.
Por fim, a terceira parte já é a Doutrina Espírita mais consolidada e são mostrados temas como os cordões fluídicos, suicídios e suas consequências, as crises antes dos desencarnes, obsessões e os intercâmbios entre os dois mundos.
Um capítulo a parte são as obras de referências bibliográficas comentadas pelo autor ao longo de toda narrativa.
A leitura é fluída, o texto é de fácil compreensão e acessível a todos. Ao todo são mais de 100 capítulos curtos com muito aprendizado. Para quem está iniciando na Doutrina é uma ótima pedida. 🙂
Eu me vi nos meus primeiros momentos de Escola Básica de Espiritismo onde começaram aos poucos (Falando de Moisés, Deus, questões do Universo de modo geral) para só depois irem mais a fundo nas questões de espiritualidade e mediunidade.
