E daí peguei para ler o segundo livro da série Umbanda, Muito Prazer! da autora Eliana Pacco e que se chama Mediunidade na Umbanda: Para Leigos.

Este livro é parte da obra intitulada “Umbanda, Muito Prazer!” e pretende tornar acessível o entendimento sobre a mediunidade na Umbanda, os tipos de incorporação, esclarecer a diferença entre animismo e mistificação, e mostrar de forma simples os tipos de obsessão espiritual, possessão e vampirismo aos quais todos estão sujeitos.
O livro vai na mesma pegada do seu anterior chamado Descomplicando os Guias da Umbanda (Post aqui), ou seja, com perguntas e respostas sobre as questões dentro da crença espiritualista e também de forma ampla.
Ao todo, são 4 grandes capítulos com alguns subtópicos dentro, além da parte pré-textual, prefácio e sobre o autor depois.
O primeiro capítulo fala sobre a mediunidade em si e de forma ampla porque, como sabemos, todo mundo possui dons mediúnicos em maior ou menor grau. Além disso, comenta sobre a mediunidade na Umbanda não ser um balcão de atendimento, não ser um castigo e do médium ser uma antena.
Depois, segue para o segundo capítulo onde é abordado sobre a incorporação na Umbanda e discorre sobre os seus três tipos: consciente, semiconsciente e inconsciente, sendo este último, hoje em dia, é mais raro de ser encontrado.
O terceiro capítulo fala sobre Obsessão, Possessão e Vampirismo e onde a autora diferencia cada um deles, além de também explicar sobre Fascinação e Energia Vital.
Por fim, o capítulo 4 comenta sobre o O Médium na Umbanda e é abordado tanto de forma ampla como dentro da Umbanda em si.
Durante toda a narrativa, a autora vai mesclando esclarecimentos de forma explicativa e através de perguntas e respostas tão conhecidas pelos espíritas nos livros da codificação espírita.
O texto é de fácil entendimento e a leitura depende da sua intenção com a mesma. Sendo somente de lazer, é possível de ser lido em um único dia. Para quem está começando a querer se entender mediunicamente falando, é um ótimo livro inicial porque também comenta sobre dons mediúnicos de forma ampla.
Por fim, para quem é espírita como eu e termina o livro, tem certeza de como algumas crenças estão totalmente ligadas e os que diferencia são somente questões técnicas, digamos assim. Muito bom! E já prontíssima para me jogar no terceiro livro que se chama Os Orixás na Umbanda.
