Partiu hidratar a alma nesse sabadão com o filme espiritualista de hoje: Hereditário, lançado em 2018, com direção de Ari Aster e disponível na Netflix.

Quando sua mãe – que sofria de distúrbios mentais – falece, Annie (Toni Collette), seu marido (Gabriel Byrne), filho (Alex Wolff) e filha (Milly Shapiro) lamentam sua perda. Todavia, após a morte da reclusa avó, a família Graham começa a desvendar algumas coisas. A família recorre a diferentes meios para lidar com sua dor, incluindo Annie e sua filha flertando com o sobrenatural. Mesmo após a partida da matriarca, ela permanece como se fosse um sombra sobre a família, especialmente sobre a solitária neta adolescente, Charlie, por quem ela sempre manteve uma fascinação não usual. Com um crescente terror tomando conta da casa, a família explora lugares mais obscuros para escapar do infeliz destino que herdaram. Cada um deles começa a ter experiências perturbadoras e sobrenaturais ligadas aos segredos sinistros e traumas emocionais que passaram pelas gerações de sua família.
O mesmo é considerado um filme de terror e possui a família Graham como protagonistas.
Sendo assim, tudo começa quando a avó reclusa desencarna e os familiares começam a vivenciar seus lutos tanto individual quanto aqueles que moraram com ela, principalmente entre mãe e filha. Não muito tempo depois, ela começa a aparecer para a filha Annie de modo bem discreto, porém, reflexivo igualmente.
Tudo estava indo da mesma maneira até a filha Charlie também desencarnar e só sobrar Annie, o marido e o filho Peter. Com isso, o luto multiplica e o filme passe a ser protagonizado por Annie e Peter.
A partir de então, Hereditário passa a intercalar entre o luto e as vivências de Annie e de Peter. Ao mesmo tempo, as questões espirituais começam a surgir com os pais procurando auxílio espiritual com as mesas mediúnicas daquela época. Por aqui, temos a mediunidade e a Espiritualidade retratadas de uma forma bem séria e responsável, o que foi um grande ponto a favor.
Ao contrário da avó, Charlie ainda se mantém apegada aos seus familiares, assim como os obsessores que conseguem interferir nas vidas de mãe e filho e de uma forma cada mais intensa.
Com isso, o filme mostra a diferença entre aviso espiritual e modo de controle obsessivo e as consequências da falta de conhecimento e/ou ir a fundo do entendimento dos motivos para um desencarne seguido do outro.
A obra não é aquele aprendizado com leveza que todo mundo adora, mas é uma ótima fonte de conhecimento e estudos, principalmente quanto aos dons mediúnicos e da Espiritualidade sendo tratada de forma séria e respeitosa.
Como todo filme de terror, existem algumas partes bem exageradas, mas é bem menos do que as obras antigas e isso já é um outro ponto muito positivo também.
