Ernesto é casado com Elisa, possui uma filha, acha que cometeu um assassinato no passado, vivia em função de conseguir um bom sustento para os seus e começou a procurar sobre questões espirituais quando soube da doença.
Evelina é casada com Caio Serpa, é traída, tentou engravidar e não conseguiu, é católica e não acredita na vida após a morte nem em qualquer outra coisa que não seja praticada na Igreja Católica.

Evelina se encontra com Ernesto e dão início as suas descobertas dos motivos que estão fazendo ali e também porque não podem entrar em contato com seus familiares.

Depois de bastante estudo, ajuda e conhecerem a verdade que só aparece do mundo “invisível”, ambos tem permissão para visitarem seus parentes no plano físico e acabam descobrindo muitas coincidências, entre elas, que a amante e hoje esposa do marido de Evelina é filha de Ernesto.
Em paralelo a isso, o livro também mostra as questões das obsessões em grau máximo, a vingança e todo o processo lindíssimo de encarnação e reencarnação.
A leitura é fluída e envolvente. Volta a ser uma narrativa estilo romance e o texto em si é de fácil compreensão, mesmo com algumas palavras difíceis aqui e ali.
