Cidade de Viena, século XIX. Sigmund Freud é um jovem psicanalista que tem visto suas teorias revolucionárias enfrentarem uma forte oposição de seus colegas do meio. Mas as coisas começam a mudar quando ele se une a uma vidente e a um detetive de polícia para investigar um serial killer.
A obra está na sua primeira temporada, tem 8 episódios e conta a história do surgimento de Sigmund Freud.
