Dando uma volta pelo Kindle Unlimited, resolvi me jogar na obra “Mais Que Um Presente” do autor Valdinei de Freitas e disponibilizado pela Editora Ide.
E partiu conferir todos os detalhes no post abaixo.

Ethan, casado, pai de Tomás, três anos, vê sua vida desmoronar-se ao receber o diagnóstico de uma doença em estágio terminal. As regras – antes – conhecidas – do seu pequeno mundo particular, constituído pela rotina de um homem comum, com o singelo objetivo de viver ao lado da esposa e do filho, simplesmente deixarão de existir. A sentença de morte recebida cria um profundo abismo em sua existência, dividindo-a em duas partes: o maravilhoso antes e o incerto depois. Então, decide adaptar-se ao inevitável e escreve ao filho uma longa carta, que acaba sendo descoberta somente no futuro, mais de uma década após a sua morte. E o jovem pai lega a Tomás o seu passado, contando-lhe, nessas páginas, a história da “menina dos livros”, um relato inspirador, repleto de ensinamentos. Por meio dela, Ethan revela ao filho suas alegrias, seus medos, suas angústias, enfim, a vida de alguém que vê a morte aproximar-se dia após dia.
O mesmo é um romance espírita que começa no passado, passa entre passado, futuro e mais passado ainda, termina nos dias atuais quando a obra foi escrita, tem Ethan como protagonista e a narrativa é contado pelo mesmo.
Sendo assim, o livro possui algumas fases. A primeira é com Ethan ainda encarnado, casado com Cecília e com um filho pequeno chamado Thomas, quando descobre estar com um câncer já em estado terminal. A partir de então, o leitor vai acompanhando o desenrolar dos acontecimentos antes, durante e pós desencarne. Por aqui, é comentado sobre empatia, o que fazer nos últimos momentos de vida e o convívio com os familiares. Para o filho ter lembranças suas, Ethan começa a escrever cartas para o rapaz até o fim dos seus dias.
Depois e já com 17 anos, Thomas passa a protagonizar de vez a história e junto com a sua mãe voltam ao casarão na Fazenda Ouro Verde e onde moraram até Ethan desencarnar. É por ali que o “reencontro” acontece, muito em função do apego ao local e até para inspirar o filho a encontrar as cartas a muito escritas e só agora prontas para serem lidas.
Com o encontro dos papéis, o desenrolar da narrativa vai acontecendo com Thomas lendo as cartas escrita pela “Menina dos Livros”, encontrando o pai em sonhos, vivendo a sua vida real e ainda convivendo com a mãe, tentando ao máximo que ela saiba dos escritos.
A terceira fase inicia com Thomas sofrendo um grave acidente, estando real oficial entre a vida e a morte, a grande fé de Cecília e todas suas consequências, inclusive na recuperação. É por aqui, que a senhora viúva começa a abrir, realmente, seus olhos espirituais e também a ficar sabendo das narrativas feitas pelo marido quando encarnado.
Por fim, a quarta parte é quando Ethan conta as ligações de todos os envolvidos em outras existências, inclusive da fazenda. Nesta fase é discorrido sobre apegos, amores, competições, vaidades e questões espirituais também.
Falando nisso, as partes espirituais ficam a cargo do próprio Ethan tanto encarnado quanto desencarnado. Tanto no suporte e auxílio ao filho quanto nas suas cartas belíssimas, altamente inspiradoras e que, algumas, são colocadas na íntegra dentro do livro.
O texto é de fácil entendimento e a leitura é uma mistura de fluída com truncada em variados momentos. É uma ótima opção para quem gosta de um bom romance espírita e de transição de um livro doutrinário e outro.
No fim, você termina querendo colocar Thomas em um potinho e ler mais narrativas do autor também.
